On Thursday we met with Peter Tatchell, legendary human rights campaigner.

We wrote to Peter about two months ago so we could get his advice on our next documentary; homophobia. We were very shocked when he personally replied to us and said that he would be happy to meet us! We were expecting to have to go through a PA and were so pleased that someone as busy and important as Peter Tatchell would bother replying to little ol' us.

We arrived at his flat/campaign headquarters at 2pm and we spent the next hour bouncing ideas of each other and hearing snippets of Peter's life. His work in campaigning for rights for gay people in particular, is extremely inspiring and is a lesson to us all. Despite being a brilliant mind and more than capable to excel in something like business or finance, Peter chose to devote his life to the betterment of the world, not just for himself but for others. He has endured arrest and beatings throughout his life but he has never given up. Now, we are not saying that everyone should give up school/uni/work to start campaigning for human rights, but we think that we all should be inspired by someone like Peter Tatchell, and in whatever way we can, we should actively work for the betterment of the world.

Peter has agreed to help us with our next documentary and will also feature in it, which is amazing!
